Theodore Oben Successfully coordinated UNEP’s cooperation framework with the 2010 Indian Premier League(IPL) and the UNEP – Puma “Play for Life” Campaign Activities included
Organized workshops for franchises and service providers for the IPL to ensure sustainability sourcing for supply and waste management (particularly catering and accommodation providers).
-Coordinated the development and launch of video messages for IPL matches.
-Developed Daily sustainability tips from UNEP Goodwill Ambassador, Sachin Tendulkar for spectators and TV fans in India and across the world.
-Placed Public Service Announcements (PSAs) on “Play for Life” in the Time Magazine and Diplomat and several online sports platforms with messages from Campaign Ambassador and Cameroonian Football Star, Samuel Eto’o.
-Organized the “African Unity Experience” with Puma in Paris for three African National Teams (Cameroon, Cote d’Ivoire and Ghana) participating in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa to promote biodiversity conservation.
-Engaged fans on the sale of the Africa Unity Kit by Puma and promoted a web engagement for football fans to select their favorite biodiversity conservation projects to support with profits from sales of the African Unity Kit.
